Terms & CONDITIONS
General
- Deposit: None
- Minimum enrolment: 1 Term
- Centre: refers to The Counting Space Learning Hub
- New students: refer to students who have not joined The Counting Space before, or students who have joined The Counting Space previously but have left for more than 4 weeks.
- Confidentiality: All materials - notes, worksheets, additional materials and videos (not exhaustive) from the centre are strictly for personal use and not for sale by any means. Legal actions will be taken against any student or parent who violate this copyright agreement.
- Teacher: The Counting Space reserves the right to change the teacher at its own discretion.
- Class: The Counting Space reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any lessons due to any circumstances.
- Personal Data Protection: The Counting Space can collect, use and disclose your personal data in accordance to the Personal Data Protection Act.
- Withdrawal: A student can withdraw from the Centre anytime. Unused fees will not be refunded should the student withdraws halfway through the term.
- Misconduct: The Counting Space reserve the right to terminate a student with immediate effect should the student or parent treated any person in the centre with any abusive behaviour or displayed violence, without refund of the balance term fees.
- Termination: The Centre reserves the right to withdraw any student with immediate effect for any reasons the Centre deemed appropriate. In such cases, unused fees excluding the registration fee and materials will be refunded.
- Indemnification and Limitations of Liability: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Centre, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against all losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorney's fees, resulting from any violation of these Terms & Conditions or any activity related to your account (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person accessing the student portal or online courses using your account.
- Governing Law and Dispute Resolution: The Contract shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Contract must first be negotiated in good faith between parties with a view to a resolution of such dispute. Each of the parties hereto irrevocably agrees that, if the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of the date of the dispute first arising, the court of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine any suit, action or proceeding and to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with the Contract and, for such purposes, irrevocably of such disputes (whether conducted through negotiation, litigation or otherwise) shall be strictly private and confidential between the parties.
- All student and parent shall be deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions upon enrolment and/or successful payment for the services.
- The Counting Space reserves the right to change the Terms & Conditions without prior notice. The centre will take reasonable measures to inform students and parents of the changes.
Flexi class
- All existing students are required to purchase the full term credits every new term.
- All new students will be required to purchase the minimum credits per lesson x number of remaining weeks left for the term.
- All new students enrolled during the last 3 weeks of the current term will have to purchase the remaining credits for the current term and the new term together.
- New students* will be required to pay the one-time off registration fee of $20.
- All students will be required to pay the annual materials fee of $80 per annum during the enrolment at any time during the academic year.
- All credits are to be utilised within the term.
- All credits are non-refundable. Unused credits will not be refunded.
- All credits are non-transferrable. Unused credits will not be allowed to transfer to another student for usage in another account or to be utilised by another student within the same account.
- All classes are to be booked online via our booking platform.
- All classes must be booked till minimum class credits each class. Minimum class credits will be deducted for each class in the event that the minimum class credits is not met.
- All classes are to be cancelled 24 hours in advance of the class start time to be entitled for a refund for the unused credits.
- All absent classes are considered used credits.
- If you are unwell within the 24 hour time frame for cancellation, please provide a valid Medical Certificate for your absence within the day of absence and we will refund you for the unused credits. A maximum of 2 last minute cancellation with Medical Certificate will be accepted in one term.
GROUP CLASS
- All new students will be required to purchase the remaining number of lessons left for the term.
- New students* will be required to pay the one-time off registration fee of $20.
- All students will be required to pay the materials fee of $30 per term during the enrolment at any time during the term.
- Students who are unable to make it for the class, will be allowed to replace their lesson with another lesson within the same week, subjected to notification of the centre at least 24 hours before their original class and to the availability of space for the class being replaced. Otherwise, all lessons will be recorded and uploaded for students who are unable to make it for the lesson physically.
- All students will be allowed up to 2 replacement classes in one term.
Online class
- All online topical classes sold are not refundable.
Online consultation
- Booking: All consultations are to be booked online via our booking platform.
- Location: All consultations are to be conducted via our online platform.
- Cancellation: Consultation slot has to be cancelled 24 hours in advance of the start time in order to be entitled for a refund for the unused session.
- Absence: All absent consultations are considered used.
- Materials: No materials will be provided during the online consultations.
- All questions have to be submitted at least 24 hours before the start of the consultation session.
